THE WIND IS BLOWING!!!

Hi everyone!

The wind is sure blowing here at my home! Have you taken the time to go out and really watch the trees and sky when the wind is blowing?

Tommy, Sally, and I went out of the barnyard and lay down on our backs to watch the clouds being pushed around by the wind.

It was so much fun!! Sally actually thought she saw a bear in one of the clouds! It was really funny looking though - sort of like a bear with really longgggggg arms!

The wind pushes the clouds around really fast and they change. Try it sometime! Just remember to ask your parents first....maybe they might even want to go out and watch with you!

LOVE THE COOL FALL WEATHER!

How do you like the cool weather????
I love it!!
Freddy Frog tells me that he and his friends are having great fun at the pond, now that's it's cool enough to play in the daytime.
I like the early mornings. I love to go outside and walk around when there is a just a breath of a breeze.......don't you?
Are you back in school too? I love my school! I love to learn things and I'll talk about that more later.

We've Been To Our Local Fair!

Cherokee Wyatt, my author, and I have been to our local fair! It is so cool! There are many of my friends from the barnyard there.....some of the pigs, cattle, lambs, and goats; chickens and rabbits to name a few of the many, many who are there to be judged.

We went to the Rural Olympics and that is so much fun! It had tractor races, and even hay stealing! I know...we don't steal - but this was just for fun! It wasn't really stealing, so remember your commandment - Thou Shalt Not Steal and don't get confused, ok?

Great and I sure hope you are staying out of this terrible heat. Maybe Fall will get here soon.

We're Back From Vacation!

Hi everyone! We're back from a nice vacation with my author, Cherokee Wyatt.
We traveled all the way to the State of Washington and went through Oregon too.
It was really pretty with lots of open land and lakes and rivers.
We also went to visit friends in the "Valley of The Jolly Green Giant"!
You know - where they grow all those veggies that you buy in the cans with the green giant on them? It was way cool!
We visited friends in Omak, Washington and watched the best show - it was the Omak Stampede and World Famous Suicide Race. It is located on an Indian Reservation and the Indians have been having this race for nearly 100 years. They get on their horses, and seem to 'fly' over the top of a hill, straight down it and into the river, cross the river and up the other side in the dark and into the arena! It was amazing!

I'LL BE GONE ON VACATION FOR TWO WEEKS!

Hi Everyone,
I will be going on vacation with my author, Cherokee Wyatt, for two weeks! We're going to travel through Oregon and Washington! I hear that there is a lot of beautiful country to see and I'm very excited! I will miss my daily talks with you - but you can still write to me. I'll try to write when I can as we will take the laptop with us. I'll check in and see if anyone write me. Please do!
I'll let you know where we visit and how it all looks, 'k?

Take care and be very careful while I'm away. Oh! This picture is of an "aye-aye" and he lives in faraway Madagascar. He sleeps all day and looks for food at night. He is an endangered species. Isn't he so cute??

WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THE HOT WEATHER?

Chewbacca, my chocolate lab friend. He "looovvvvveeees to chase frisbees!"

Hi! I just wondered, since I was out playing in the pond, (veeerrrry carefully!) in the hot weather, what you might be doing to stay cool?

Freddy (the Frog) likes to spurt water on me when I'm not looking. That's ok, 'cause he's just a frog - ya know, and frogs like to spurt water on anyone and anything they see!! He's so funny. He's a good friend, keeps the bugs gone for us too!

We sit and watch the minnows play and that's kinda fun too.

PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN

Hi everyone!

I was out and about early today and when I looked up to see the beautiful blue sky, my eyes were stopped by an American flag flying high above a building. The only thing I could see behind it was the blue sky and it was waving gently in the breeze.

It made think how proud I am to live here in America. It made me proud to think that I can go places I want to (if my parents allow it) and that I can write things like these notes to you all.

I am very proud to be able to say my Pledge of Allegiance in my school, and to bow my head and say a prayer of my choice any time I want to.

My wish is that you too - are proud to be an American. Now -- if you are visiting my blog from another country - my wish for you would be that you are proud to be from your country as well. That is what life is about I think -- to be proud of who we are.

I wish you a very blessed day -- wherever you are.

THINK ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE TODAY

Hey! I had a thought today. What if .... you didn't think of anything YOU wanted today....what if...you just picked someone else and only thought about them today? Just for today.

Find someone in your family - or a friend - and try to do something extra nice for them. You can call them on the phone, tell them how much you appreciate them or love them; you could find a piece of paper and some crayons and perhaps some paper sissors (make sure to ask your parent or sitter) and some glue and make a very beautiful card. Oh! That sounds like soooo much fun to me! I love to make things.

You know what else? Give someone you love a big hug. Hugs are wonderful!

APPRECIATE OUR DIFFERENCES

Hi. I hope you are as well today as I. I wanted to talk to you just for a minute today about being different. Goodness - just look at me! I certainly am different! (LOL) I just found out what LOL means: Laugh Out Loud. I like it!!! I like to laugh. It makes me feel good, and...it will make you feel good too!

You may have friends like me or maybe a neighbor or someone who is a bit different than you are, but you know what? That's ok - 'cause if we were all alike, wouldn't that be ever so boring?

I like to look at those who are different looking than me and try to talk to others too. I like to find out what kind of person they are, what color is their favorite, what flavor ice cream they like best, what is their favorite subject in school....and the one they dislike the most.

Why don't you try that? When you meet someone new - or maybe just ask someone you know from school now - ask them those questions.

GOOD MONDAY MORNING!

Hello! I hope you all are having a great Monday morning. It's very cool here, much like what we call "Indian Summer" in my world. The wind is blowing a very nice breeze and it's moving the waters of the pond very nicely. I saw Samuel Swan and Jessica and Andrew out there a while back having fun playing in the small waves.

Today is a beautiful day and I just want to ask you to go outside at some point - maybe near sundown and take a look at the sky. Hopefully, you will see something beautiful. Even if it is raining where you are - perhaps you'll see a rainbow. If it's sunny, maybe the sunset will be just awesome.

Wherever you are, there is something beautiful in our world to look at. Go see!

DON'T GET ANGRY - IT ONLY HURTS

Hello everyone and happy Friday! I would like to talk to you today about getting angry. You know, in my barnyard home, lots of times the kids pick on each other for silly reasons. Later, they regret calling someone names that hurt. The best part is -- when they realize that they've hurt their friend's feelings -- they are smart enough to go and say simply, "I'm sorry". It's not hard. If you get mad at a friend, and in your anger, say something you regret -- take the time to go and say, "I'm sorry".

You'll save a friend. YOU will feel so much better. The World will be a better place!

Hi everyone! What a beautiful day! It's much cooler today and we're out and about. I hope you are having a good day too.
